This writing will share with you what are the child-friendly destinations as well as some smart travel tips to places of interest and great getaways for the whole family in Australia.
If you are bond with nature, then you will find Australia has so much to offer that you simply can’t resist, in fact you will be spoilt for choice! Whether it’s Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney or Darwin, you and the kids will love the large variety of attractions there.
The famous Opera House - a trip to Sydney is not complete without taking the breathtaking sight of its famous Opera House.
You will be amazed to know that with its vast open lands and friendly climate, Australia teems with animal life, both marine and on land. Your kids definitely would love getting up close with kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and wombats at any of the state zoos. As for older kids, they can try more hardy adventures such as swimming with seals at Mooloolaba’s Underwater World in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, riding a camel at Perth’s Calamunnda Camel Farm or playing zookeeper at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo. As for your little ones, they can run, play and soak for free as Australia is also famous for its great open parks! For example, these include the Western Power Playground in Perth and South Bank Parklands in Brisbane.
For families with teenagers, I suggest them to head to Queensland’s Gold Coast, where there are theme parks galore such as Dreamworld, Warner Bros Movie World, Whitewater World and Wet ‘n’ Wild.
Smart Travel Tips
It is good to hire a Campervan, as I find that this will get your family from one place to another more comfortably and easily. Another plus point for great getaways in Australia is that maps are easily available from the many Visitor Information Centres, together with their road signs at strategic locations will get you anywhere you want. Australia’s weather varies according to the time of the year, so do some research before packing. You may want to know the Customs checks in Australia are strict, so leave behind all foodstuff, wooden items or plants.
