Do you like white beaches or blue harbours? If so, how about those famous and up market ones?
If your answer is yes, one of those places of interest that I would recommend is Sydney in Australia. Not only you could find some 70 beaches there, but the most famous one like Bondi, or the most up market one like Manly too. In addition, you could find massive Aquarium and the up market eateries that are home in The Darling Harbour.
In fact when people mentioned Sydney, it will often brings to my mind of the iconic Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, more so when they are lit up by the spectacular fireworks displays! Never miss these two interesting places when you are there, and if you have a head for heights, who knows you may want to have your bridge climb on Harbour Bridge!
Sydney with a population of approx. 4.4 million has one of the most diverse populations you possibly could not find anywhere. Well, the Chinatown there is well worth a visit.
There are numerous tourist attractions, places to visit and to see at and around Sydney, however, you should not miss out on (of course that includes the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge):
- The New Year Celebrations where the city is lit up by those spectacular fireworks displays;
- The breathtaking ferry ride from Circular Quay to Manly and the surf at Bondi;
- The nightlife of Darling Harbour, Kings Cross and the Rocks; and
- The Royal Botanic Gardens, but do take note of the flocks of cockatoos though!
And if you like the spectacular views over the city, Sydney Tower on the Market Street is perhaps the best place for this. To have great photos of Sydney Opera House, I would suggest to take it from the many ferries that cross the harbour, although Mrs Macquarie’s Point is a good place for this purpose.
When is the best time to visit these places of interest? Well, anytime of the year. However, one of the money saving traveling tips is to book your flight reservation early as that will allow you to have more flight options since Sydney is such a popular travel destination today. You may want to know that advance rail reservations are especially necessary during peak tourist seasons (usually from November through February), and that advance purchase of train fares can probably save you 10% to 30% for traveling between major cities in Australia.
I would say plan ahead and you will be able to do and to see all of the interesting places, places of interest and tourist attractions that will keep you happy and busy, but not frazzled and run ragged!
